Fuzzy Logic from Super Furry First Minister3.34.38pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 18th Oct 2005 Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Leader Mike German has accused Rhodri Morgan of applying 'fuzzy logic' in his decision to scrap certain government brands and keep others. At First Minister's Questions, Mr German questioned whether the Wales Trade International (WTI) and Wales European Funding Office (WEFO) brands would be scrapped along with the WDA and WTB. Mr German said: "I was amazed to hear that the First Minister is scrapping the WDA - the world-famous brand for inward investment - but keeping WTI - the brand for exports. This is the fuzziest of logic. Both brands have built a reputation for selling Wales around the world - often working together in joint offices. Both names should be retained. "This latest information only serves to underline the lack of consistent thought in the Minister's haste to abolish the quangos. The process is being driven by dogma rather than by rational thought. There is no logic to what is being kept and what is being scrapped."
