Don't delay on new rolling stock says Michael German.

Local Welsh Liberal Democrat AM Michael German called for the Labour government to end the delay and let us know whether brand new trains will be running on the new Ebbw Vale Line.

"Both Rhodri Morgan and Andrew Davies, Minister responsible for transport, have failed to give me a straight answer on this. They tell me that they are still in discussions with Arrive Trains Wales over the rolling stock.

"I want to see new rolling stock on the Ebbw Vale Line. I want to draw people in to use the brand new trains on the new line to get to work, to go about their daily business.

"We also need intelligent timetables so they are linked to local bus routes and times - there's no point running a train unless people can get to the station.

"The Ebbw Valley has waited a long time for a train line. The Ebbw Valley deserves a first-class service, not second-hand stock."
